Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms and Conditions govern all reservations made and stays at SeaSense Boutique Hotel & Spa, operated by Sea Resorts Hotels. By making a reservation or staying at the hotel, you agree to be bound by these terms. SeaSense is an adults-only property — guests must be 18 years of age or older.

2. Reservations

Reservations can be made through our website, by phone, by email, or through authorised third-party booking platforms. A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of written confirmation from SeaSense or our booking system. We reserve the right to decline any reservation at our discretion.

All rates are quoted in Mauritian Rupees (MUR) or the currency displayed at time of booking and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

3. Payment

A valid credit or debit card is required to guarantee all reservations. Depending on the rate booked, full or partial prepayment may be required at the time of booking. The outstanding balance is payable on arrival or departure as indicated in your booking confirmation.

We accept major credit cards. Cash payments in Mauritian Rupees are accepted at the property. Personal cheques are not accepted.

4. Cancellation & Modification Policy

Cancellation and modification policies vary by rate type and are clearly stated at the time of booking. Standard terms are as follows:

• Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to arrival: full refund of any prepayment
• Cancellations made 4–7 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total booking value will be charged
• Cancellations made less than 3 days prior to arrival or no-shows: 100% of the total booking value will be charged

Flexible rate bookings may have different cancellation terms as indicated at checkout. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.

5. Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in time: 14:00 (2:00 PM)
• Check-out time: 11:00 (11:00 AM)

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may be subject to an additional charge. Guests are required to present a valid passport or national identity document at check-in. This is a requirement under Mauritian law.

6. Adults-Only Policy

SeaSense Boutique Hotel & Spa operates as an adults-only property. All guests must be 18 years of age or older. Guests who are unable to provide valid proof of age may be refused check-in without refund.

7. Room Occupancy

Rooms are let for the number of guests specified in the reservation. Additional guests are not permitted without prior approval and may be subject to additional charges. Maximum occupancy limits apply to all room types and will be enforced.

8. Conduct & Property Rules

Guests are expected to behave in a manner that respects the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all other guests and staff. SeaSense reserves the right to ask any guest whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive or damaging to vacate the premises immediately without refund.

• Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas
• Pets are not permitted on the property
• Noise must be kept to a reasonable level between 22:00 and 08:00
• Unauthorised visitors are not permitted in guest rooms or on the property

9. Damage & Liability

Guests are liable for any damage caused to the hotel room, furniture, fixtures or any part of the property during their stay. The cost of any damage will be charged to the credit card on file. SeaSense is not liable for loss or theft of personal belongings. In-room safes are provided for the security of valuables.

10. Swimming Pool & Beach

Use of the pool and beach facilities is at the guest’s own risk. Guests are asked to observe all posted safety rules. SeaSense accepts no liability for accidents or injuries resulting from use of these facilities. Pool towels are provided and must be returned on departure.

11. Activities & Excursions

Where SeaSense arranges or facilitates third-party activities or excursions on behalf of guests, the third-party operator’s own terms and conditions apply. SeaSense acts only as an intermediary and accepts no liability for the conduct, safety standards or outcomes of third-party operators.

12. Force Majeure

SeaSense shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, government action, pandemics or interruption of utilities.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.
