Sea & Water
Dive Into the World Beneath the Waves
The Ocean is Your Playground
The Indian Ocean surrounding Mauritius is among the most biodiverse marine environments on the planet. Crystal-clear lagoons, vibrant coral gardens, and deep blue channels just minutes from shore create conditions that few destinations on earth can match.
Whether you’re a first-time snorkeller, a seasoned diver, a big-game angler, or simply someone who wants to drift on the water with the sun on their face, the sea here will exceed every expectation.
Blue Bay Marine Park
A RAMSAR world heritage site sheltering an extraordinary coral garden, including a 1000-year-old brain coral measuring 5 metres in diameter
Big Game Fishing
The ocean drops to 70m just 1km from shore — meaning marlin, tuna, sailfish and shark are only 15 minutes from your sunlounger
Blue Safari Submarine
The only real submarine operator in the Indian Ocean. At 35 metres depth, discover a world of colour, coral and marine life in total comfort
Kitesurf & Parasailing
From the legendary Le Morne spot — ideal conditions 11 months a year — to parasailing over the turquoise East Coast lagoon.
Blue Bay Marine Park
Located on the South-East coast and proclaimed a national park in 1997, Blue Bay was declared a RAMSAR site of worldwide importance in 2008. The park shelters an exceptional coral garden — including a brain coral specimen over 1,000 years old, measuring 5 metres in diameter.
Shallow, calm, crystal-clear water makes this the ideal snorkelling destination, and the proximity to Mahebourg means it pairs beautifully with a day of cultural sightseeing.
